Tentmasters 8'x10' A-Frame tent

Tentmaster A-Frame

This tent is a few years old however it is in excellent condition. It has only
been used at Pennsic War. I bought it directly from Four Seasons Tentmasters
for around $500 new. I have never had any problems with it.

The footprint is 8' by 10' and it has a 9' peak.
This tent is configured in Norman-Saxon style which means it has three centerpoles
and ground stakes. The picture shows two of the high-wind lines outside the tent
which is one easy way to set the tent up initially. The tent does NOT need external
ropes and the high-wind lines are typically installed inside the tent only if
you want to use them. The tent stands comfortably without any ropes.

If you are upgrading from a nylon land pimple to a period tent, you will REALLY
appreciate the all-period look of this tent. As a plus, this style of tent is
popular not only in the SCA but also at civil war reenactments so if you are a
living history enthusiast, you can get a lot of use out of one tent.

A-frames by design are superior at shedding water even in a heavy downpour.
I had no concern storing books, musical instruments, clothing, etc. in it when
it rained. The tent size is small-ish compared to the "monster wedge tents"
that are in vogue now, and you'll find it is best suited for two people
with a small amount of gear, or one person fully provisioned. It is not the best
size for a growing family of three or four.

The three centerpoles are each made of 2 pieces of pressure treated 2x2. The
ridge pole is two pieces of 2x4 joined by a steel sleeve. The maximum length
of any pole section is 6'. This means the whole tent could easily be
toted in a coupe or hatchback. Set-up can be done in UNDER 10 MINUTES by an
experienced owner, and even a newbie can get it put together in about 20.

This tent comes with:
* One-piece tent canvas, with storage bag
* Iron stakes
* Two high-wind lines with sliders and stakes
* Three 2-section centerpoles.

Price is $300 firm, cash or Paypal only. For Paypal, a $9 surcharge will apply.

Pick up at Pennsic War 2008 during war week, exact date is not yet established.
I will be happy to show the new owner how to take down and set up this tent
safely.
